An injection-molded plastic kit of the tropicalized version of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov (KP). This release focuses on aircraft with American markings operating in the Mediterranean in the area of Corsica. The package contains clear parts and decal sheets for several color options.
The Spitfire Mk.Vc was a widespread version with the universal C-type wing, able to carry various armament. The tropicalized version (Trop) had the characteristic Vokes dust filter under the nose for operation in the dusty conditions of the Mediterranean and North Africa. Machines of this version also flew under USAAF colors.
Use liquid cement for plastic and sand the fuselage joints carefully. Before the decals, apply a gloss clear coat over the paint so that no silvering effect arises. The dust filter and the canopy are prominent parts, so give them care; American markings in Mediterranean camouflage are what characterizes this boxing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
