The airfield tow bar for the Su-25 in 1:72 scale is a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin model of the airfield tow bar for the Su-25 attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The bar connects the nose landing gear of the aircraft to a tractor and is used when the machine is moved around an airfield. Printing in resin holds even the thin lugs and pins. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for an airfield scene.
The Su-25 is a single-seat attack aircraft with an armored cockpit and with the engines on the sides of the fuselage, built for work low over the battlefield and for operation from simple surfaces. It is precisely on machines deployed close to the front that towing makes particular sense: it saves fuel and engines and makes it possible to spread the aircraft out among shelters they could not reach under their own power. The shape of the tow bar matches the attachment on the nose leg of the particular type.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface; the lugs on the ends are thin. Sand the marks off with fine abrasive paper, wet. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Field equipment tends to be scuffed down to the metal and dusty, so after the base color suggest scuffs on the edges and dust the lower part with a pigment.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
