MBD3-U6-68 multiple ejector rack, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet multiple ejector rack for bombs in 1:48 scale for filling out the stores of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a 3D-printed resin replica of a multiple ejector rack for bombs in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for the stores, thanks to which an aircraft carries several bombs on one pylon instead of a single one. It is not an aircraft model. The print keeps the sharp edges of the beam and the small locks and rods.
The MBD3-U6-68 multiple ejector rack is intended for carrying, transporting and releasing up to six aerial bombs in the weight class from fifty to two hundred fifty kilograms. It is used on the Su-24M, the Su-27 and machines of the Su-30 family. The rack is hung on a standard pylon and so multiplies the combat load of the aircraft. In photographs of machines with a full load of stores it is one of the most conspicuous items.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
