Brown Grey 17ml

Vallejo Model Air Brown Grey 17 ml - a brown-gray acrylic for the airbrush

A water-based acrylic modeling paint, 17 ml, in a dropper bottle. Model Air is a range set up for spraying: the pigment is finely ground and the viscosity low, so the paint passes even through smaller nozzles and leaves a surface with no visible texture. The Brown Grey shade is a muted brown-gray, a color that shouts nowhere and is used mainly where a surface should look faded and dusty.

Use

• Shake the bottle properly before pouring it into the cup, as settled pigment would otherwise change the tone.
• Spray it in thin translucent passes; brown-gray layers excellently and the tone thickens slightly with every coat.
• It serves superbly as a fading tone: a light overspray of the original color on the upper surfaces imitates sun and aging.
• It is also usable as a base under dust pigments or as a color for equipment, canvas covers and wooden parts.
• The coat is matte once dry; before decals, seal it with a gloss varnish compatible with acrylic.
• Flush the paint residue out of the airbrush at once, as dried acrylic is hard to remove.

Who the paint is for

For modelers of vehicles and figures who work with an airbrush and are looking for a neutral muted tone for modulation and fading, and equally for those who paint small equipment and wood. It can be applied with a brush too, but its thinner consistency calls for more coats. The name does not tie the shade to any military standard or to a particular machine; it is a free tone.
