The K-36D-5 ejection seat in 1:32 scale is a 3D printed accessory from Temp Models. It replaces the seat from the kit and raises the level of detail in the cockpit.

The set brings a 3D printed K-36D-5 ejection seat in 1:32 scale from Temp Models. It is not a model of an aircraft but a replacement for a cockpit part: the printed seat carries sharper detail of the harness straps, the restraints and the controls than injection-molded plastic can give. It goes in place of the part from the kit, or into the open cockpit of a modern fighter.
The K-36D-5 is the latest branch of the K-36 family from the Zvezda company so far. It follows on from the D-3.5 version, takes over the escape from zero altitude at zero speed and the stabilization by telescopic booms, and adds to them a modified shape of the shell and of the headrest. The seat appears on the Su-35 and the Su-57.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Paint and weather the seat before gluing it into the cockpit, because afterwards you will not reach it.
The set is an addition to building a model, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
