A resin ejection seat from the K-36 family in the version designated L-3.5 in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. In a small scale the seat is the only piece of the cockpit that is really visible under the canopy, and the plastic version from a kit tends to be coarse and without belts. Printing in resin manages the shell, the rests and the harness in one part. It is not an aircraft kit.
In the K-36 family the letter L designates the lighter branch of the design, from which several further versions came. A lighter seat suits machines where weight is saved, or those where leaving the aircraft at the highest speeds is not reckoned with. Seats of the K-36 line can generally save a pilot even in a situation where the aircraft is flying very low or standing on the ground, which is the quality the line became famous for.
Release the seat from the supports with a new blade and level the surface underneath it. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the base shade, lift the edges with a dry brush and darken the recesses with a tone. Paint the belts in a different tone and suggest the buckles with a fine tip.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
