About product

Mr. Weathering Color EWC-07 Grayish Brown 50 ml

A Gunze weathering color from the Mr. Weathering Color range in the grayish brown shade Grayish Brown. Unlike a warm earthy brown, this tone is shifted toward gray, so it suits fine dust, faded grime and old, weathered surfaces. It is a liquid solvent-based product of the wash and effect type that runs into recesses and engraved lines, brings out detail, and whose excess can be wiped off and blended with a suitable thinner. The bottle holds 50 ml.

Use

  • Effects of fine dust, faded grime and weathered surfaces in a cooler grayish brown tone.
  • Running into recesses and engraved lines to bring out detail.
  • Thinned and blended with the dedicated thinner of the Mr. Weathering Color range (mineral spirits), not with water.
  • Combined with warmer brown shades for a more varied layer of grime.
  • Applied only over a perfectly dry base coat.

Who it is for

For modelers who weather vehicles, figures and dioramas and need cooler grime and dust shifted toward gray. Grayish Brown complements the warmer earthy shades of the same range well.

A flammable solvent-based liquid. Use in a well-ventilated space, away from open flames and out of the reach of children, and keep the bottle closed.

FAQ

Grayish Brown is shifted toward gray and is cooler, so it suits fine dust and faded age. Ground Brown, by contrast, is a warm earthy brown for mud and rust effects.

The dedicated thinner of the Mr. Weathering Color range (mineral spirits), not water. That is how the intensity is controlled and smooth transitions are created.

Only over a perfectly dry base coat. It is a weathering product, not a base color.
