The OU-80 airfield fire extinguisher in 1:72 scale is a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models. Flight line equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin model of the wheeled fire extinguisher designated OU-80 in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. It is not an aircraft model or a part of one but a small piece of flight line equipment that gives a diorama its credibility. Printing in resin captures the shape of the bottle, the carriage and the hose with the nozzle.
On Soviet and Russian equipment the abbreviation OU designates a fire extinguisher with compressed carbon dioxide, and the number matches its size. Extinguishers in this category are large enough to be carried on a carriage of their own, and at airfields they stand by the flight lines and by the places where fuel is handled. That is exactly why they appear in almost every photograph from a flight line, even though a viewer mostly does not notice them.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface; the hose and the handles are thin. Sand the burrs off with fine abrasive paper, wet. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. The body of the extinguisher tends to be strikingly colorful, so add the metal parts in a darker tone and settle dust on the lower part, so that the extinguisher does not look new from a store.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
