A resin landing gear wheel set for a model of the Yak-130 trainer in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The resin print renders both the tread pattern and the shape of the rim without the mold seam that runs down the middle of a plastic wheel. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement parts for a model you already have.
The Yak-130 is a two-seat trainer and light combat aircraft on which pilots prepare for the move to current combat types. It is meant to operate from less prepared surfaces, so the landing gear has low-pressure tires and a sturdy structure. The aircraft also flies in quick succession, which puts a heavier load on the wheels than on combat types that take off only rarely.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and level the seating face so that the wheel sits square to the leg. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the tire a very dark gray and the rim separately, following the real subject. Trainers tend to be well maintained, so keep the weathering restrained.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
