A water-thinnable acrylic paint, Gunze Aqueous Hobby Color, in a yellow shade, suitable for brush and airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
Yellow is one of the basic shades in the palette and appears on a model in two entirely different roles. Either it is a color meant to be seen — warning features, markings, stripes, numbers, construction and agricultural equipment, or sporty vehicle liveries — or it is a mixing component: adding yellow shifts greens toward a warmer register, and with red it creates orange tones. The shade is simply listed as yellow, with no reference to a specific standard.
Its use is not tied to one category of model:
Yellow pigment covers weakly and the base readily shows through beneath it, so the choice of the underlying layer matters more than with other colors. Over a light base the shade comes out rich and clean; on dark plastic it will still look muddy even after several coats. Apply thin coats with a brush and let them dry — brush marks stay visible on yellow more easily than on dark shades. Mix the bottle thoroughly before use, since the pigment settles to the bottom. For spraying, thin the paint with the thinner made for this range, and wash your tools right after use while the film is still soft.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, a base coat, varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
