In an airbrush setup the hose is an inconspicuous part, but more depends on it than it seems: a short one restricts the movement of the hand, an over-stiff one tires it and a leaking fitting robs the compressor of pressure. This one measures 1.8 meters, which is enough for the compressor to stand on the floor or off the workbench. The outer diameter is 7.5 millimeters and the inner one 4.5 millimeters. The fittings have a G1/8 thread, that is the most widespread modeling standard.
The package contains a hose 1.8 meters long with fittings and a G1/8 threaded adapter on both ends. An airbrush, a compressor and a pressure regulator are not included.
For anyone who sprays with an airbrush. Before buying, check the thread on your own device: the G1/8 thread is the most common, but some guns call for an adapter to another size. Tighten the joints by hand and only gently; overtightening damages the seal. When the setup loses pressure, look for the cause in the fittings first: sealing them again with PTFE tape is usually enough for the problem to disappear. Do not store the hose sharply kinked, because it cracks in a bend over time.
The accessory is intended for modeling use. Use compressed air according to the instructions of the compressor manufacturer.
