LIME GREEN – ARTISTIC DENSE ACRYLIC COLOR

Lime Green - an acrylic paint of the Artistic Dense range

A bottled acrylic paint thinnable with water, not a kit and not a weathering product. The Artistic Dense range is intended for painting figures and busts, where one works with a small amount of paint on the brush and it matters that the material holds a stroke and does not run into the folds. Lime Green is a sharp lime green with a strong proportion of yellow. On its own it is a shade that is only rarely used over a large area, and all the more valuable it is as a highlight: mixed into a darker green it shifts an area toward the light without bleaching it into gray, as white does.

Use

• Before work shake the bottle and mix the paint, as light greens have a strong pigment that settles.
• Thin it drop by drop, as with light shades quick overthinning leads to the paint losing its richness and merely tinting the surface.
• Over a dark surface apply it in several thin layers. Light yellow-greens generally show through over dark and one heavy layer dries unevenly.
• As a lightening component it works better than white; add that only in the last step and in a minimal amount.
• It suits the high points of fabric, young leaves and stalks in a diorama, or bringing out edges on fantasy figures.
• Wipe the remains of paint off the rim of the neck so that the bottle seals well.

Who the paint is for

For figure painters who build a shading scale and need the yellow pole of green, and for diorama makers who want a difference on vegetation between old and fresh growth. As the only green in a palette it is not the best choice, but as a complement to the darker greens it is.

The paint is intended for modeling use. Keep it out of the reach of children, work in a well-ventilated area and close the bottle carefully after use.
