The manufacturer lists two different tones under the name light blue. One belongs to the basic primary palette, the other to the later and more numerous group of shades tuned to specific aircraft finishes. This bottle comes from the second group, where the neighboring numbers cover light green, light gray and a deep turquoise blue.
Pale blue is one of the most widely used tones of all. It covers the undersides of fuselages and wings, where the machine is meant to blend with the sky, it appears on trainer and aerobatic finishes, and in mixing it serves as a component for sky tones. It is also good for brightening a darker blue without the result turning gray, which is what happens when white is added.
The range is lacquer based. That produces a hard smooth film over which decals hold well, as does later oil shading. The thinner is the manufacturer's lacquer product, or its leveling version, which lets the film flow and level for longer. The ratio runs around one to one up to two to one depending on how thick the paint comes out of the bottle.
Count on light tones covering less well. Apply thin coats in three to four passes, or even out the area in advance with a light undercoat. The package holds 10 ml and stirring before work is a must, otherwise only binder without pigment comes out of the airbrush.
Bear in mind that pale tones look different in a photograph than on the model. On a small area a shade always looks darker than on a large one, so spray the test sample onto a piece of sprue the size of your palm, not onto a piece of cardboard. The difference is usually noticeable and it saves you respraying a finished part.
