MS Purple is a purple paint from the Gunze Mr.Color line, which the manufacturer put together for models of Gundam robots. It comes into play on areas where purple appears as a secondary tone to light parts, but it will serve just as well anywhere else you need a clean saturated purple. The bottle holds ten milliliters, that is, an amount that will not go off before one model is built.
The paint is applied with an airbrush and with a brush alike. Shake it thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles in the bottle. For spraying, thin it with the thinner of the same line to the consistency of milk and apply it in several thin coats. One heavy coat will flood the engraving and dries unevenly. Water is not used for thinning this line.
Thinners and cleaners from other paint systems may not get on with this line, so leave mixing alone and keep to the thinner of the same brand. Work in a well-ventilated space, best of all at an extraction booth and with a respirator. Close the bottle carefully after work and wipe the rim of the neck, otherwise the cap will dry shut in time and the shade will start to change in an open bottle.
Above all for builders of Gundam models who want a shade matching the coloring of the subject, but also for anyone else who finds purple useful in a palette. The package contains the paint only; thinner, a brush and an airbrush are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
