German food transport containers of the Second World War in 1:48 scale. Separate parts for dioramas and for figures, supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
Hot food reached German units of the Second World War from a field kitchen in the rear, from where carriers brought it up to the position in closable containers. Insulated containers were carried on the back on straps, while smaller cans and buckets were hauled on vehicles or on carts. In a scene this small detail gives away that the unit is being relieved or is resting.
The set brings food transport containers in 1:48 scale as separate parts that are simply placed into the scene and glued. They suit both aircraft and ground equipment of this scale and figures of the crew.
Degrease the surface of the parts before painting and apply a thin coat of primer. In 1:48 scale restrained wear looks better: a few scuffed edges and a tarnished lid do more than rust over the whole surface. Separate the straps and the handles by shade, so that they do not merge with the body of the container.
The accessory will be used by modelers who build dioramas in 1:48 scale and are looking for small rear-area equipment instead of more weapons. The parts are small, so tweezers and good light help. Figures, equipment, paints and glue are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
