A resin set of five Vickers K aircraft machine guns in 1:16 scale from the production of the Czech brand Black Dog. It is not a model of a vehicle but a detail accessory for experienced modelers, with which a build of a British desert jeep of the SAS units can be armed or a diorama enriched. The package contains five castings of the machine guns with finely executed details; check the exact contents and any additions (magazines, mounts) against the manufacturer's information.
The Vickers K, also known as the Vickers Gas Operated (VGO), was a British rapid-firing machine gun originally intended for the defense of aircraft. During the Second World War the SAS desert units remounted it in numbers on light off-road jeeps, often in twin mounts, and used its high rate of fire for quick raiding strikes on airfields and columns in North Africa.
First wash the resin castings free of mold release agent and cut the casting blocks off; bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do the sanding with respiratory protection. Paint the machine guns with an airbrush or a brush over a primer and bring the metallic shades to life with a dry brush and a fine wash.
The set is supplied as a resin kit without paints and glue. The base model of the vehicle is not included in the package.
