A set of airfield ground equipment used for refueling aircraft, in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an addition to a scene: the equipment that surrounds a machine at the airfield between individual take-offs and without which no aircraft would get airborne.
A model aircraft on a base is an exhibit. A model aircraft surrounded by the equipment that services it is a scene: hoses run out across the surface, carts, steps and the people working around the machine. For a viewer that reads immediately, and the finished model gains a context it does not have on its own. Ground equipment moreover shows the scale of the machine, because a viewer judges its size more easily than the dimensions of an aircraft.
Wash the parts first in lukewarm water with a little dish soap and let them dry. Cut the remains of production off with a fresh blade and level the area; protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Ground equipment tends to be more worn than the aircraft themselves: scuffed paint, rust on the edges and stains from operating fluids are in order here. Add the hoses from soft wire or thread and let them lie in natural loops rather than pulled taut.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; neither glue nor paints are included in the package.
