The boarding ladder for the MiG-29 in 1:72 is a printed ground crew accessory for airfield dioramas. An airplane model it is not.
Responsibility details are not available.
A piece of ground equipment in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, printed from photopolymer. The manufacturer intends it for work during the ground servicing of aircraft and for the crew getting in and out, that is mainly for dioramas on an aviation theme. An aircraft model is not included in the package.
The MiG-29 has no built-in ladder, so without a ground stand the pilot cannot get into the cockpit. The same goes for the technicians, who need access to the cockpit, the avionics and the upper surface of the fuselage. In photographs from airfields it therefore stands beside the aircraft practically always, and on a model it gives away the scale at once and lends the scene a human dimension.
The parts are printed from photopolymer and are held on thin print supports. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel and sand the pad. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Once a filler primer is laid down, a dark wash into the recesses of the structure and fine chipping on the edges of the steps will stand out. Hold the small parts with tweezers and work over a mat with a raised edge. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
