Responsibility details are not available.
A hand-painted set from the Scenic Accents line of the American maker Woodland Scenics on the theme of camping out in nature. It shows figures resting in a campground, by the fire, with their bags, in comfortable leisure clothing. The figures are cast from plastic resin, hand-painted and supplied finished. HO scale corresponds to 1:87.
A campground scene belongs in the wooded and recreational part of a layout, at the edge of the woods, on the shore of water, in a clearing, by a parked travel trailer or near a hiking path. The set is rewarding in that it needs no built-up area: terrain, trees and a few small accessories are enough and a self-contained, legible vignette comes about. It also suits recreational scenes along the track, where there is otherwise only vegetation.
Build the scene around one center, a fire pit, a tent or a table, and place the figures around its edge, not in a row. Leave one place open, as if somebody were just not there; that brings the scene to life. Glue them with a small drop under the soles, and on a soft grassy surface level the base beforehand. The gloss of the paint can be unified with a very fine spray of matte varnish and the folds of the clothing brought out with a light dark wash.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. Glue, a tent, terrain and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
