A gray-green tone listed under the name Feldgrau and the number RAL 6006. Feldgrau is the established German military term for field gray-green, and RAL is the European standard of color shades in which the tone has its numerical entry. The shade is muted and far from loud, which is deliberate in a military color: it is meant to dissolve the machine into the terrain, not to show it off. On a model it therefore calls for a little extra work, or the surface stays lifeless.
A darker base left in the recesses gives the surface structure even before any dirtying. Then lighten the middle of large areas very slightly by adding a little of a lighter tone to the sprayed paint and leave the edges darker; the finished surface stops looking like one uniform coat. Keep the transitions soft, because on a model every sharp edge reads as a mistake. A final matte clear coat lightens the shade and a gloss one deepens it, so reckon with the final impression already as you lay the paint on.
The package holds the paint only. Thinner, primer, a final clear coat and brushes are not included, unless stated otherwise.
