A plastic kit of the German signals vehicle Mercedes-Benz G3a in the Funkkraftwagen Kfz 61 version in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer MAC Distribution. The package contains plastic sprues, photo-etched parts, decals and instructions. The distinctive radio body makes the model a rewarding addition to command and signals scenes in a diorama.
The Kfz 61 was the radio (Funkkraftwagen) version of the three-axle Mercedes-Benz G3a 6x4 vehicle used by the Wehrmacht. It served as a mobile signals station with a box body and a radio set. Vehicles of this type formed the backbone of the field communications of the German units in the prewar and early war period.
In a small scale, finish the interior of the box body and the chassis before closing the bodywork. Glue the photo-etched elements with cyanoacrylate and clean the mating surfaces up carefully. After the primer, spray with an airbrush, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add dust pigments to the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
