Finished scenery growth for building dioramas and layouts. It is not a kit and not a loose material to be applied with an applicator — you get ready-made low bushes that are divided into individual clumps and glued into a scene. The MINIPACK package is the smaller version, intended for one particular scene or for trying the material out before you reach for a larger package. The coloring matches late summer: the green is no longer fresh, yellowed and ocher tones run through it and the foliage reads as dusty and tired, the way scrub looks in August.
Low bushes solve the transition between the ground and mature trees, which is what dioramas most often lack. Use them at forest edges, in ditches and field margins, at the feet of fences and walls, on overgrowing ruins, by abandoned vehicles, on stream banks, among rubble and around heaps of debris. It is precisely an overgrown foot of a structure that immediately reveals that a scene has a history. The growth is not tied to a single scale — in large scales it works as low bushes, in small ones as scrubby copses or young saplings.
Divide the growth into irregular clumps of different sizes and glue them with PVA wood glue or with cyanoacrylate. Never plant them regularly in a row — scrub grows in clusters with gaps. Combine several sizes and add taller tufts of grass and weeds, so that the transition from the ground to the trees is smooth. You will support the late summer coloring with a light dusting of beige or dust pigment on the tops of the bushes. Set a clump next to a vehicle standing in the scene so that it partly reaches underneath it.
This is a scenery accessory for building dioramas, not a model kit. The glue, the paints and any further material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
