A U-STAR metal sanding tool with several working angles serves for sanding the surfaces and edges of a model where an exact shape has to be kept.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sanding tool with a metal body which, according to the name, offers several working angles. The point of a tool like that is simple: a metal body does not flex under pressure, so the tool keeps its shape and the surface of the model really does come out level. The several angles then make it possible to work on edges and chamfers too, where a flat sanding tool would only make contact with part of its face.
When you will use the tool
A rigid metal tool forgives fewer mistakes than a soft sponge — it takes material off wherever you put it, even when you have put it in the wrong place. Work in short strokes, check the part against the light and take material off a little at a time, especially on thin parts and around engraved panel lines. Remove the dust after sanding, otherwise the base color will bring it out. On plastic it is often an advantage to sand wet. It also pays to wipe a metal tool after work — clogged abrasive takes material off less well and starts sliding over the surface rather than sanding it.
Check the dimensions of the tool, the grit of the abrasive and the number of working angles on the box.
