According to the name, the package contains 44 conifers in heights of roughly 10 to 15 cm. These are therefore taller pieces than in ordinary packages for a background, and they come into their own everywhere a tree is seen from close up: in the foreground of a layout, in a diorama with figures and as an independent dominant feature of a scene. The trees are bendable, so the trunk and the branches can be shaped before being set in place and every piece given its own silhouette.
Taller trees stand fewer compromises, because the viewer examines them from close up. It therefore pays to spend time on the trunk: a light dry brush in a lighter shade accents the structure of the bark and the tree stops looking flat. Work the foot of the tree into the terrain with scatter, fallen needles and possibly small growth. Compose a group of trees so that the crowns are neither at the same height nor the same distance apart.
Glue, a base and scenic materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
