A paint from the 3rd Generation Acrylics AIR range, a water-thinnable acrylic in a 17 ml bottle. Neutral Grey 43 is a medium, purely neutral gray with no color cast, the underside shade of the US Army Air Forces. It sprays like a lacquer, is thinned with water or with acrylic thinner, and is non-toxic and non-flammable.
The neutral gray formed the undersides of American aircraft that carried olive camouflage on their upper surfaces. The combination of olive and neutral gray was the most widespread scheme on American military equipment of the first half of the 1940s. A neutral tone with no cast is easy to combine and also serves as a general gray for shadows and preshading.
For modelers of American aircraft who need an accurate neutral gray underside to go with olive camouflage.
A water-thinnable acrylic, non-toxic and non-flammable. Even so, ventilate and use extraction when airbrushing.
