A resin kit part from MAiM out of the modular tube system for building pipe runs in a diorama. This piece is a large rounded bend (an elbow) with which a pipe run turns smoothly. The part is compatible with ordinary plastic (styrene) tubes of the matching diameter and rounds out the straight sections, connectors and end caps in the range. It is not a figure or a model of equipment but a scenic accessory. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Pipe runs give industrial, factory and post-apocalyptic scenes scale and credibility. A rounded bend makes it possible to lead pipework around corners and obstacles without the run looking contrived. Thanks to the compatibility with ordinary plastic tubes you can easily extend the run to fit the size of your base.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the residual mold release layer. Bond them with super glue and clean up the seam lines. Apply a primer before painting. Bring the metal of the pipework out in gray, green or rust as you intend, then add chipping on the edges, rust traces and washes to pick out the joints and the flanges.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, plastic tubes and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
