A plastic H section beam measuring 6.3 mm, 35 cm per length. For hall columns, bridge structures and crane runways.
Responsibility details are not available.
The profile has the shape of the letter H, two wide flanges joined by a web, with both the height and the width of the section measuring 6.3 mm. One length is 35 cm long. This shape corresponds to a real rolled column: in 1:35 scale it works out at 220 mm and in 1:48 at about 30 cm. Those are the dimensions of the beams really used in the columns of halls and in bridge structures.
It comes into its own wherever a structure should look load-bearing: the columns of factory buildings, the footings of crane runways, the piers of an overpass, stops at a loading ramp, or Czech hedgehogs assembled from short offcuts. Anyone building an industrial diorama usually uses several lengths at once, because the columns of a hall repeat in a regular grid and a meter of material goes quickly. Short pieces also serve as supports under a loading platform or as railing posts beside a staircase.
Divide it with a fine-toothed saw and support the piece while doing so, so that the flange does not bend. True the ends up on sandpaper laid on glass, which gives a square face that then seats without a gap. The beam is attached to the base with a solvent-based cement, the same one used on kits. You suggest a riveted joint with tiny drops of super glue or with a piece cut from a photo-etched fret, and the footing of a column with a rectangle of thin sheet. Degrease the smooth side before painting, otherwise the primer adheres poorly.
The unit of sale is one length.
