An acrylic modeling paint from the Air series in a bottle of 17 ml. The shade is determined by the German industrial RAL standard: the number 8008 corresponds to olive brown (Olivbraun), that is a subdued brown-green tone used in modeling for the camouflage of German aircraft. The paint is water-based, holds no aggressive solvents and no strong smell, and once dry it leaves a satin, that is a semi-matte, surface.

Use

• Airbrush: the consistency of the Air series is prepared so that it can be sprayed practically without thinning. Depending on the nozzle and the pressure you can adjust it with the acrylic thinner of the same manufacturer, or with a small amount of water.
• Brush: apply two thin coats rather than one heavy one. Thin coats leave no brush marks and do not clog the engraving.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before every use, as the pigment settles to the bottom during storage.
• The most even coverage and adhesion are achieved over a primer coat. The paint cures fully in about 24 hours.
• A satin surface is a good base for weathering. Before decals, level the surface with a gloss varnish and once finished flatten it according to the look you want.

For modelers who build German aircraft and want to work with a shade unambiguously defined by the RAL standard, and in general for anyone looking for a water-thinnable acrylic paint usable both in an airbrush and with a brush. It also serves well as a starting tone for mixing further brown-green shades.

Store the paint well closed, out of the reach of children and at a temperature above freezing. When spraying with an airbrush, ventilate and protect your airways, as the paint aerosol must not be breathed in.
