Round Base with Lip 25 mm from AK interactive is a set of ten round bases with a raised rim. The lip holds terrain materials in place and gives the base a clean, framed look.

The with Lip version differs from the plain bases in its distinctive raised rim around the edge. The recessed area inside the rim holds loose materials in place while terrain is being modeled, and the finished base gains the elegant, visually framed look that many gamers and painters prefer. According to the name, the pack from AK interactive holds ten pieces 25 mm across.
Fill the inner area with texture only up to the level of the lip so that the edge stays visible. The rim itself is traditionally left in a single dark color - the contrast gives the figure some punch. Hold the base by the edge while painting, and the recessed center stays untouched and clean right up to the final grassing.
The plain version without a rim comes in the same diameter as a separate item, so the styles in a collection can be matched to taste.
The raised rim brings a purely practical benefit as well: it protects the glued-on terrain from being rubbed off when bases brush against each other on the table, and it makes the model easier to hold without touching the painted figure. Loose materials also do not spill over the edge, so no sand is left on the playing surface after a game.
