The self-adhesive stencil Self-adhesive stencils - Digital Camo from the Spanish manufacturer Green Stuff World transfers a digital, pixel-divided camouflage pattern onto a model. The stencil is laid onto a dry ground, holds by its own self-adhesive layer, and the paint is applied through the cut-out grid. Digital camouflage is practically impossible to reproduce freehand, because it rests on small rectangular fields of the same size in a random arrangement; the stencil makes sure the pattern keeps the same character across the whole area.
The stencil is meant for modelers who want digital camouflage without laboriously drawing out the individual fields by hand, and for players who need to unify the look of a whole group of figures or vehicles. The self-adhesive build, against a loose stencil, limits paint creeping under and keeps the pattern even on shaped surfaces. The work is quick but calls for patience with thin coats of paint.
