Set x6 Intensity Inks - Set 1

Set x6 Intensity Inks - Set 1 - a set of six Green Stuff World inks

According to the name the set holds six inks from the Intensity Inks range by Green Stuff World, and the Set 1 designation marks the first part of that range. The inks are highly pigmented but translucent preparations. They do not work as a covering paint but as a color filter: they lay over a finished coat and shift its tone without hiding the detail beneath. That gives a depth of color practically unattainable with a covering paint.

What it is and what it is not

• Inks are translucent. They are not base or covering paints.
• They come out best over a light ground; on dark paint their depth is lost.
• Apply them in thin glazes and build the depth by repeating, not by the strength of one coat.
• They serve excellently for color accents: gemstones, clear parts, magical effects, deeply colored fabrics.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use and wash the brush out straight after work.
• Seal the finished work with varnish; translucent coats are more sensitive to rubbing than a covering coat.

Who the set is for

For modelers of figures, wargaming armies and fantasy subjects, where deep color and smooth transitions are valued most, and for anyone who wants to add a tool for toning and shading to their covering paints. The particular shades in the set, the volume of the bottles and the contents of the later parts of the range are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
