STRIKE FREEDOM GUNDAM BL is a top plastic kit of the ZGMF-X20A mobile suit from the Perfect Grade range from the Japanese brand Bandai.

Perfect Grade is the highest level of Japanese gunpla kits and the Strike Freedom is among the most extensive of them. Bandai created completely new molds for it with a worked-out inner frame that stays visible in the places left bare by the armor. According to the manufacturer the package includes a beam shield, two beam rifles, two railguns, eight carried Super Dragoon units, a display base and a light unit for the head.
The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom mobile suit comes from the animated series Gundam SEED Destiny, where it is piloted by Kira Yamato. Characteristic are the golden ribs of the inner frame, the wings that open out and the ability to control independent unmanned weapons. It is precisely the opened wings with the dragoons that make a spectacular display-case piece of a finished model.
The parts are injection-molded in color and are joined by snapping together, so glue is not a condition. It does pay, however, to remove the sprue nubs with a sharp knife and to bring out the engraved lines with a fine marker pen or with a liquid shade. Do not force the joint assemblies and let the model rest for a while before fitting the decorative decals, so that the plastic settles.
In the box there are sprues and instructions, but not a finished figure; the assembly still lies ahead of you and painting stays optional.
