Terraform Clay

A texture paste from the Terraform line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez, ready for immediate use. It is applied directly onto a base and once dry creates the texture of packed clay soil. It is not a paint for an airbrush nor a kit - it is a modeling material for creating terrain.

How the paste is worked

The paste is water-based; while it is still damp, the tools are cleaned with water. It is applied with a spatula, an old brush or a plastic scraper; you control the thickness of the layer yourself, but a heavy layer dries markedly longer and cracks more easily. Working in two steps is rewarding: a coarser base and, once dry, a thinner covering layer with the marks of wheels or boots.

Use

• Field and forest tracks, yards, churned-up areas around vehicles
• Filling the transition between a base and a model, so that a vehicle sits in the terrain
• The marks of running gear and small scatter material can be pressed into the damp paste
• Once dry the surface can be toned with paint, a wash or pigments
• Wash the tools while the paste is still damp - once dry it comes off considerably less easily

Who it is for

For builders of dioramas and vignettes who want to create the surface of the terrain directly, without mixing their own compounds. It suits military vehicles and civilian scenes equally well.

The volume of the package, the drying time and the exact shade once dry are not stated here. Keep out of the reach of children and close the container carefully after use.
