What is in the box

A set of scenic elements in the form of trash bins, made of polyurethane resin. The material is given directly in the name of the set; it is not the plastic of a kit, and the parts are hard, solid and hold their shape well. How many pieces and which forms the set holds is to be found on the packaging and in the manufacturer's description.

What the set suits

The elements are matched in size to figures roughly 30 to 35 mm tall, that is to the usual gaming size. They come into their own on gaming boards and on dioramas alike: trash bins fill the corner of a scene, cover an empty spot by a wall and above all give the scene scale, because a viewer judges the size of everything around at once from a familiar object. They also serve well as cover for a figure on the board to shelter behind.

Preparation and painting tips

• cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder
• before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and degrease them
• they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, as a glue for polystyrene will not join this material
• apply a primer, otherwise the coat will quickly wear off during play
• a dark unifying wash and a dry brush will pull out the edges and the hollows of the bins
• apply small traces of corrosion and dirt sparingly, otherwise the scene will turn gray
