TS-21 Gold 100ml

Tamiya TS-21 Gold - a metallic spray, 100 ml

This is a metallic synthetic lacquer in a spray can, not a water-thinnable acrylic. The TS range is a general-purpose one. The Gold shade is a gold metallic with fine metal pigments that give the surface a glossy metal look. The 100 ml can will cover roughly two to three bodies in 1:24 scale or a corresponding area of other models.

Use

• Shake the metallic very thoroughly before spraying - the metal pigment settles at the bottom and has to be mixed in perfectly.
• The metallic effect comes into its own on a smooth, smoothly sanded surface; a black or glossy base laid down first is ideal.
• Spray from a distance of 25 to 30 cm in thin coats, or patches and an uneven sheen will appear.
• Apply the metallic rather at the end - it is harder to overspray and to mask than covering paints.
• Once dry, detail can be finished with acrylic or enamel, which will not attack the lacquer.

Who it is for

For modelers who want to lay a gold metal shade quickly and evenly over larger areas - decorative elements, accessories and car bodies.

It holds flammable solvents. Use only in a well-ventilated area, away from open flame, and protect your airways. It is thinned with lacquer thinner, not with water.
