This is a synthetic lacquer in a spray can, not a water-thinnable acrylic. The shade matches the naval gray of the Imperial Japanese Navy, specifically the Sasebo arsenal variant — the individual Japanese naval arsenals (Sasebo, Kure, Maizuru, Yokosuka) mixed their gray in slightly different shades. The TS range is a general-purpose one and suits painting the large areas of a hull and its superstructures. The 100 ml can covers a larger area of a model.
