The DSPIAE Tungsten Steel Panel Line Scriber Push Broach 1.4 mm is a push scriber of tungsten steel with a chisel edge 1.4 mm wide for wide grooves and cleaning out seams.
Responsibility details are not available.
A push scriber of tungsten steel with a flat edge 1.4 mm wide. In the wider band of the range the tool no longer serves to imitate panel lines but to work on surfaces and seams, where the bottom needs truing up or material has to be taken out of a narrow and deep place.
Injection-molded parts often have seams and grooves that come out of the mold at uneven depths or with rounded corners. A flat edge can true the bottom of such a seam up to a plane and clean the corners out to a right angle, which on a model with large flat surfaces makes a noticeable difference. It is just as good for removing residues of putty that have run into a groove while cleaning up a seam. In such a case the scriber is guided along the bottom of the seam, not over the surface of the part, and takes off only what does not belong there.
For modelers who finish the detail after puttying and sanding, and for builders of vehicles with extensive smooth surfaces, where every irregularity shows up once painted.
The edge is sharp along its whole width. Work on a mat, brace the part, guide the stroke away from your body and remove the material taken off with a brush.
