Fujimi Type 97 Chi-Ha with the new turret and sample sprue nippers — a cute distorted kit of the Japanese tank in its late version, completed with a sample of modeling nippers for separating the parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This package from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi combines a cute distorted kit of the medium tank Type 97 Chi-Ha in its late production version with the new turret and a sample of modeling sprue nippers for separating the parts cleanly from the frames. It is a practical choice for anyone who is starting out in modeling and does not yet have tools of their own — everything essential for a first build is in one box. The model is not in scale; the proportions are deliberately shortened into a playful form.
The medium tank Type 97 Chi-Ha was the most numerous Japanese tank of the Second World War. While the early machines carried a short 57 mm gun, from 1942 they received a new turret with a more powerful 47 mm anti-tank gun — a response to clashes with better armored Allied hardware. The kit captures precisely this late form with the new turret.
Use the enclosed nippers so that you cut the part a little away from its edge and finish the remainder of the sprue gate with a knife or a file — the joint will then not show. The build is undemanding and quick; painting can be managed with a brush, and the Japanese camouflage in ocher, green and brown is typical.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
