A light blue carried under the designation RLM 76 and the number of the American Federal Standard FS36473. On figures it appears everywhere a fabric is to be unmistakably light and at the same time cool: flight suits, service shirts, shoulder straps, collars and collar tabs or canvas covers. It also serves as the tone with which you shift a gray fabric into a cooler register without brightening it all the way to white.
On a figure, shadow and light cannot be separated by distance as on a large area; they have to touch. Lay the light blue on, therefore, with a fine-tipped brush only on the raised parts of the folds and break it down toward the edges almost to nothing. A transition that looks natural on a figure arises from repeated light touches of the brush, not from one stroke across a whole sleeve.
For modelers of figures and dioramas who need a light cool tone with a clear designation in the name and do not want to mix it from other paints every time.
