Sand FS33711 is a light sand shade intended for the final highlighting of edges, straps and kit on figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The lightest tones go on a figure last and decide whether the figure will look three-dimensional. The sand shade with the number FS33711 of the US Federal Standard is exactly that kind of paint: in small amounts on the edges and the tops of the relief it does more for the legibility of a figure than a coat over the whole surface.
Highlighting edges and the dry brush
Pick up a little paint on the brush, wipe off the excess and pass lightly over the folds, buckles, straps and the edges of the kit. The paint clings only to the raised places and the relief is emphasized at once. Work in small sections and repeat lightly rather than heavily, because an over-highlighted figure cannot be toned back down except by another coat.
For figure modelers who work by progressive highlighting and need a light sand tone for it. It also serves wherever canvas in a scene is meant to look sun-bleached.
Keep out of the reach of children and work in a well-ventilated space.
