Lifecolor Portland Stone 64 is an acrylic light stone shade. It comes into its own at the stage when the centers of large surfaces are lightened over a sand base.
Responsibility details are not available.
Lightening the centers of panels and upper surfaces is the step that turns flat color into a surface with depth. This light stone tone is made for such work: it lies close to the usual sand shades, so it does not look like a foreign color on them, but it shifts them just enough for the difference to show.
It comes only after the sand tone has covered the whole surface and after the recesses have been darkened. It is applied inside large surfaces, on the tops of fenders, on the upper sides of tanks and crates and on the edges that in reality are most exposed to the sun. It is laid on thinly and from the center of a surface outwards, so that the original tone stays untouched around the perimeter. In two-color British schemes it can also be used as a component of the pattern in its own right alongside a darker color. Only after it do the unifying of the surface, the dust and the traces of service follow.
For modelers of British vehicles and desert schemes who work in stages and are looking for a light tone that does not run too far from the sand base. It also suits stone elements of dioramas and buildings in sandstone tones.
Mix the bottle thoroughly before use, close it well after work and store out of the reach of children.
