The khaki tone of the Italian camouflage sheeting is supplied by Lifecolor as the separate shade Regio Esercito Khaki Telo Mimetico, a water-based acrylic paint for the uniforms and kit of the Italian army.

The khaki element of the telo mimetico sheeting is one of three shades in the Lifecolor uniform line that together make up one pattern. It is a water-based acrylic paint from the Italian maker, intended for figures, shelter quarters, capes and the textile parts of kit.
Whereas the green holds the area and the brown draws the outlines of the blotches, the khaki is the tone that lights the pattern up. On a figure in 1:35 scale it is often only a few millimeters of fabric, so the size of the blotches is what decides: too large and they drown the silhouette, too fine and they merge from a distance into a uniform gray. Keeping the blotches roughly the width of the figure's finger is what works.
Shading the folds: leave the khaki areas lighter on the ridges of the fabric and pull them gently into a warmer tone in the depths. The pattern thereby gains volume without your having to repaint a whole blotch.
For figure painters and diorama builders with Italian subjects of the Second World War, and for modelers who want the colors of one fabric ready as a set instead of assembling them from chance shades.
Keep out of the reach of children, ventilate while working and close the container well after use.
