The Lifecolor UA605 paint in a dark gray shade named after the finishes of the German wartime navy.
Responsibility details are not available.
The shade UA605 from the Lifecolor range carries a dark gray tone named after the finishes of the German wartime navy, that is, the Kriegsmarine, of the Second World War period. The German word Dunkelgrau in the name means simply dark gray. Gray ship finishes were meant to dissolve the vessel visually in the water and in the mist, which is why they are subdued and without gloss.
The closest use is ship models: hull sides, superstructures, gun turrets and decks divided into lighter and darker bands. The shade also suits places where you need a dark gray without a blue or brown cast, that is, on armament, on shadows within lighter gray areas or in a mix for darkening another shade. Check the particular form of the finish of your own reference in the build documentation, because ship schemes changed over time.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, as settled pigment covers unevenly. Large hull sides are best sprayed with an airbrush: thin the paint with the thinner intended for this range as instructed by the manufacturer on the packaging and apply it in two or three light coats. A continuous area in one dark tone looks flat on a model, so it pays to brighten the center of large panels gently with the shade plus a drop of a lighter color. Coat the area with gloss varnish before the decals; a final matte varnish will return the subdued look to the surface.
The delivery contains the shade of paint named. The model, thinner, brushes and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
