Game Color is the miniature painter's half of the system, built around saturated, invented colour rather than documented camouflage. The paint is thick and matt, so it covers a primed figure in one or two strokes and takes layering without going translucent. Dropper bottles let you measure a custom mix drop by drop and return to exactly the same tone weeks later, which matters when a unit has to stay consistent.
Work on a wet palette so the paint stays open long enough to blend a cloak or a face, and keep the coats thin — a heavy load of saturated pigment buries the fine relief of a casting. Translucent and effect colours that extend this palette sit in Game Color Special FX, and the maker's other lines under Vallejo model paints. For hand painting, synthetic brushes hold a point under thick paint.
