A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range, the shade White Grey to the Federal Standard, number FS36628.
Responsibility details are not available.
White Grey is a very light gray shade with a white cast. The number FS36628 in the name refers to the American Federal Standard 595, a color reference by which the shades of military vehicles are carried in documentation; thanks to it the shade can be compared with other paint ranges across manufacturers. The shade belongs to the Orange Line range from Hataka.
Light gray tones are used on models on large areas, where fine graduation and grime are meant to show, which nobody would make out over a dark substrate. Because it is a shade close to white, it covers more slowly than dark paints and it pays to put a light base under it. Count also on the fact that on a small model the same paint reads darker than on a real machine, so it is usual to brighten the shade slightly on large areas.
Stir the contents thoroughly before use, the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply in thin coats and reach coverage by their number, not by the amount of paint in a single coat, otherwise the fine details of the surface will disappear. For thinner, thinning ratio and the cleaning of tools go by the instructions of the manufacturer on the packaging, because every range has its own thinner. Try the shade first on a piece of plastic treated the same way as the model, because the final tone is affected by the color of the substrate beneath it as well.
The paint is supplied on its own. Thinner, brushes and other materials are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
