Tamiya X-23 Clear Blue (Enamel) is a transparent blue (tinting) paint in an enamel version, 10 ml. It has no covering power: it gives a blue cast to clear parts and to gloss bases. It is thinned with X-20 thinner.
Responsibility details are not available.
X-23 Clear Blue from the Tamiya enamel (synthetic) range, holding 10 ml, is not a covering paint. It is a transparent blue (tinting) shade: the base shows through it and the paint gives it a blue cast whose saturation is governed by the number of coats. The X range means a gloss surface. The paint is solvent-based and is thinned with X-20 thinner (without the letter A); do not confuse it with the acrylic version of the same number, which is thinned with X-20A and dissolves in water.
For modelers who work with effects and clear parts, that is builders of aircraft, cars, motorcycles and models with lighting features. Enamels are at the same time the classic medium for washes and picking out panel lines over a cured acrylic base. Note: if you are looking for a saturated covering blue, X-23 Clear Blue is not one, because it is transparent.
The paint is a flammable liquid with organic solvents. It irritates the airways, so work in a well ventilated space and use protection for your airways when spraying. Keep out of reach of children and away from sources of ignition. The paint is supplied on its own and thinner is not included in the package.
