Tamiya XF-15 Flat Flesh is an acrylic model paint in a mini bottle of 10 ml. It is not a kit but a paint for finishing models and figures. The letters XF in the Tamiya designation system mean a matte finish, which is essential with skin, because human skin in scale should not be glossy. According to the manufacturer it is a matte flesh shade suited above all to finishing figures.
Shake the paint thoroughly. For an airbrush, thin it with Tamiya X-20A thinner and spray in thin coats; when painting a figure by hand, work with thin, repeated applications rather than one heavy coat, as that preserves the fine detail of the face. Take the flesh paint as a base, not as the finished result: only shading and highlighting give a face depth and modeling. If you are adding decals to a figure, for example on a uniform, spray a gloss coat under the decal, because on a matte surface the decal would silver and its carrier film would show. Finally, unify the model with a matte coat.
For figure modelers, diorama builders and everyone who finishes the crews of aircraft, vehicles and ships. The volume of 10 ml is more than enough for figures, because skin is applied only to small areas.
This is a model paint, not a kit. Use it in a well ventilated space; protect your airways (a respirator) when spraying with an airbrush. Keep out of the reach of children.
