The real subject

The Citroen-Kegresse P28 was a French armored vehicle of interwar design. The second part of the designation refers to the designer Kegresse, whose name is associated with half-track running gear, that is with the solution in which the front wheels stay conventional and the rear of the vehicle rides on a tracked chassis. Vehicles of this layout were used at the time in the French army for reconnaissance and for travel over ground where a purely wheeled vehicle would easily become stuck.

Building and painting tips

Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder back. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and the instructions from the manufacturer, and wash and degrease the parts before painting. Assemble the running gear according to the instructions so that all the bearing points lie in one plane; otherwise the model rocks on its base and that shows even in a small scale. Apply the paint in thin coats and bring out the transition between hull and running gear with shading, so that the intricacy of the vehicle is not lost under a uniform coat.
