ROP o.s. 1:1000 MO-Sm-S 42 Nad Hajem is a model of a work of the Czechoslovak heavy fortifications in the 1:1000 map scale.

A model of the fortification work designated MO-Sm-S 42 with the cover name Nad Hajem in the 1:1000 map scale. The range of the ROP o.s. association is built so that a whole sector of the defensive line can be put together from the individual works and so that the mutual distances and sizes are in the right proportion. That is precisely the main benefit of so small a scale: on a single board you can show spacings of works that in an ordinary modeling scale would take up a whole room. The contents of the package and the material are given in the enclosed instructions.
The designation of the works of the Czechoslovak fortifications was not arbitrary. It was made up of the abbreviation of the construction sector and subsector and of a serial number, while the cover name served for quick identification in the field and in the documentation alike. The works of the same subsector were built according to a uniform method, but they differed in their orientation, resistance and equipment according to which stretch of terrain they were to cover. Neighboring works secured each other with flanking fire, so the sense of a particular structure comes out only in the context of the whole line.
Given the size of the model, work on a light surface, as small parts are easily lost on a dark table. If the castings are of resin or printed, wash and degrease them before painting. Spray on a thin gray base, with which the surface is unified, and fine-tune the concrete with a light dust shade. If you want to display the works of one subsector together, paint them all at once and from the same batch of paint, so that the shade matches. Place the labels with the designation and the cover name on the base, not on the model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
