1:144 Fat Man is a resin replica of the body of the 1945 aerial nuclear bomb scaled down to 1:144. It is not a kit or an airplane model but an accessory that a modeler adds to a bomber model already bought.
Responsibility details are not available.
The box holds a resin casting of the body of the 1945 aerial nuclear bomb, scaled down to 1:144. The set is an accessory, not a kit: it cannot be built on its own and it assumes that you already have a model of the matching bomber. The accessory is made by the Czech company Brengun.
A resin casting is poured into a soft mold, so the shape does not have to give way to the parting planes and ejector pins of an injection mold. On a body this small that shows mainly in the smoothness of the outline and in the cleanliness of the tail surfaces of the bomb: the part tends to be compact, with no seam across the whole flank and with no sink marks.
First wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water or wipe it with alcohol. There is usually some mold release agent left on the surface, and neither primer nor glue will hold over it. Cut the casting block off with a fine-toothed saw, or snap it off after scoring it; nippers for plastic sprue are more likely to crush resin, because it is harder and more brittle than plastic. Sand the remainder of the block with fine paper, and sand wet or with respiratory protection, as resin dust should not be inhaled. It is bonded exclusively with super glue, with cyanoacrylate: plastic cement does not bite into resin. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise paint holds poorly on the smooth surface of the casting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
